Solvability of a third-order two-point boundary value problem
A new comparison theorem is proved and then used to investigate the solvability of a third-order two-point boundary value problem u′′′(t) + f(t, u(t), u′(t), u′′(t))) = 0, u(0) = u′(2π) = 0, u′′(0) = u′′(2π). Some existence results are established for this problem via upper and lower solutions method and fixed point theory. 2000MR Subject Classification: 34B15, 34C05
متن کاملExistence and Uniqueness of a Positive Solution for a Third-order Three-point Boundary-value Problem
In this work we study a third-order three-point boundary-value problem (BVP). We derive sufficient conditions that guarantee the positivity of the solution of the corresponding linear BVP Then, based on the classical Guo-Krasnosel’skii’s fixed point theorem, we obtain positive solutions to the nonlinear BVP. Additional hypotheses guarantee the uniqueness of the solution.
متن کاملMultiple positive solutions for nonlinear third order general two-point boundary value problems
We consider the existence of positive solutions and multiple positive solutions for the third order nonlinear differential equation subject to the general two-point boundary conditions using different fixed point theorems.
متن کاملMonotone Positive Solution of Nonlinear Third-Order BVP with Integral Boundary Conditions
This paper is concerned with the following third-order boundary value problem with integral boundary conditions u′′′ t f t, u t , u′ t 0, t ∈ 0, 1 ;u 0 u′ 0 0, u′ 1 ∫1 0 g t u′ t dt, where f ∈ C 0, 1 × 0, ∞ × 0, ∞ , 0, ∞ and g ∈ C 0, 1 , 0, ∞ . By using the GuoKrasnoselskii fixed-point theorem, some sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence and nonexistence of monotone positive solut...
متن کاملPositive Solution for Boundary Value Problem of Fractional Dierential Equation
In this paper, we prove the existence of the solution for boundary value prob-lem(BVP) of fractional dierential equations of order q 2 (2; 3]. The Kras-noselskii's xed point theorem is applied to establish the results. In addition,we give an detailed example to demonstrate the main result.
